Few sharp clouts with a large hammer before hand usually helps to break it free a little. Works on adjustable spanners too.
Then punch if she won't come. Some people just put wheels back on without new one but I wouldn't do that they are pennies.
I had new ones to replace them, I also put new pin slider gaitors on the caliper bracket

Mot time again passed with flying colours. Not even oil leak advisory ( and yes there is oil in it). Italian tune up beforehand and passed emissions with flying colours as well. Happy bunny.

So whilst in overalls decided to totally strip my other engine that went fubar. Few pics on what I found.
No 1 piston crown
No1 piston underside

Ouch

Replacing the 20 year old centre section on my p38.

Sadly while removing the centre section it became apparent the rear section needed replacing too. The pipe work was good but one silencer less so and the flange to join to the centre section :(

Have to wait until next weekend to fit it, hoping it’ll turn up this week.

Finally stripped out the last of the brake system. All pipes, hoses calipers now gone. Managed to clean up and paint the calipers and sliders. Pistons not bad with a bit of 800 Emery and metal polish. Even seven out of eight slide pins were in good nick and reusable. Just waiting for the Bay to deliver all the rest of the bits to start going back in.
Note to self: either A) don't bother painting calipers, they only get s### high when reassembling or B) paint 'em afterwards..

They look very smart, unlike the balls of rust they were before ;)
