So, how is everyone?
I've recently purchased a P38, got it cheap because of an EAS fault, bring clue less about them I thought it would be an easy fix, and it still could be new compressor en route!!
Just signed up to browse for information, and try and make my life easier

I'm fine thanks.

EAS fault hey

Before you get as far as fitting your new compressor, buy 4 new air springs for it and replace your old ones, fit the compressor, entirely optional but if you can, pop a "T" piece in the circuit post compressor but before the valve block and run a line up to a schrader valve (the same as you find on the tyres ;)) and use your tyre pump to pump up your suspension before you switch it on, it saves the pump going bananas and running over duty cycle as the air bags will need a lot of air, get your spray bottle of soapy water to the ready and when it's up to pressure spray all the connections and around the valve block to ascertain if there are any air leaks beyond the air bags.

Welcome to the mad house fella :)

Didn't even know you could manually pump up the springs, drove 2 hours home at 35 mph bumping all over the place
It's had new air springs fitted within the last few months, I can't hear the compressor kick in so I thought must be that, but after doing some research on here it may not be! Who knows ‍♂️
I'm used to fast(ISH) Japanese toys that are easy to work with and usually when they go wrong it's a simple fix

Welcome:)

Don’t be surprised if it’s only the compressor did you test it first? Anyway this is tells us about ya and show us your car pics.
Tech stuff best in other threads for better coverage and experts:)

Yeah I know, I'm just hopeless at these introduction things ‍♂️♂️
And I'm not sure anyone would be interested in pictures of a supercharged lexus

Might just be comp then but I'd plan for the worst ;)

Yeah but you need to cut into the main line and install a valve to enable you to, I like the schrader valves as you can just use a plug in fag lighter comp or a foot pump to pump them up if you don't have a workshop compressor ;)

There is a dedimacated forum for Range Rovers, the fellas in there will see you right :)

Welcome to loonyzone:)
Have a look in the range rover section top left tech archive look for a post by Wammers on the EAS and follow the tests it will tell you what is up
if you have the 35mph fault message it will need clearing with diag for the system to work, contact Datatek on here and he will supply you with an eas cable and software cheaper and better than fleebay
and listern to those two guys when it comes to p38 faults they know there stuff.

Thank you!
That is the fault I'm getting on the dash,
Quiet day at work so research and part buying is on the cards! Thanks

find out whats wrong before buying too many bits, pumps and valve blocks can be rebuilt very cheaply, if the p38 is going to be a keeper look at getting your own diag kit, be warned p38`s will not work with most diag, nanocom is the best, check on here before spending your hard earned cash.

Welcome to the forum

35mph max is coz it's down. It will lift on it's own when working as you speed up. Manually pumping it up will work if no leaks.
Start a thread in the RR section about EAS.

no doubt datatek will find you, his help will be invaluable (just don't mention viscous fan to hims :p). You will need his EAS kit- better than anything tried and tested.
If you have new bags recon your compressor first as last - check tech section. Plug it in with kit and set it will be fine and very comfortable. If your new airbags are Britpart don't expect them to last too long
