Someone to install security

Evening
Iv just become the owner of my first defender and as I live in coventry i feel I need to upgrade the non existent security that it has.

I was wondering if anybody could recommend somewhere Coventry/midlands based that I could take my landy to have an alarm and immobiliser installed?

have you checked for recommendations on farcebook you may get a garage on there as well m8

I wouldn't delay one minute.
Get a diskloc immediately until you can sort the other stuff.

Get someone who's a registered Thatcham installer because that actually means something to insurance companies.

Iv asked a couple of questions on the defender fb page but replies are pretty slow or non existent, is there one for the landy zone?

I went straight to Halfords and brought one on the maiden drive home!!!

I wouldn’t be posting ANYTHING about security of your defender, especially not on FB. You have no idea who is on there looking for their next “purchase”.

Fit some form of physical security, fit some form of electrical security, ID tag as much as you can. Photo everything you do, and any identification marks it has for further proof if it does go missing.

And until it arrives/ gets installed etc.keep a member of the family in it and/or a big dog

haha we are getting a Dobermann puppy, but that’s after the summer!

Does anybody know of the best immobiliser or things I should avoid??

Just look for thatcham and sold secure, a hidden kill switch and two trackers, one that can be found easily and costs sod all to run, and a decent one very weil hidden
