Help! Busy fitting roof rack to Fl1. Nearside no problem. Offside rack seems to have threaded plate under the holes to take rack bolts at front but I cannot find one at offside rear. As a result I cannot tighten bolts at offside rear. Can anyone advise?.

No but I have successfully fitted the nearside but when fitting the offside the front has two threaded holes in a plate so connection were no problem there but at rear I removed the bolts only to find that there seems to be no plate with threads in to take rack fixing screws.

I removed the grab handle above offside rear door, prised off the plastic window surround and got access to inside the headliner. Much fishing around produced the threaded plate that had somehow drooped away from the roof. Next job is to return the plate to its original location and get the roof rack bolts in!1

Good work finding it.

Talk about tight! I was only just able to get my hand in under the headliner. All done now. Here is the troublesome plate!! And rack bolted in.
