Sounds like either one of the washer pumps as they have the elbow you mentioned or a split pipe where it joins the pump. Go and have a look at @siddeley attachment. Steps 7 to 9 cover the elbow joint and pump removal. Wipe everything down including some way up the pipe so its bone dry then feel with dry hands and check hands regularly to see if skin is damp. A new pump is 14 notes from Island so won't break the bank to replace.

The pump pulls out of the washer bottle and fitting is a reverse of removal. No need to remove bottle.
