Took it to main dealer with r/h heated mirror not working and l/h working intermittently, after having it most of the day they couldn’t find a fault. I asked them to try again...they kept it overnight then replaced the r/h glass.
Frost last night tried demisters on mirrors, neither worked. Mirrors move ok and rear screen heater ok.
It’s going back to dealer but prior to that any ideas?

Thanks, I’ll need to check that, the battery was not changed by the main dealer but it has since had a full service and the battery was disconnected then, wouldn’t the BMS have been reset at that time? Is it something I am able to check?

No it needs resetting via diagnostics - it needs to know a new battery has been fitted as it alters the charging cycle etc as the battery ages.

Thanks again, I’ll check with the battery fitters to check if they’ve reset it.
It’s only a month old though so I suspect the answer probably lies elsewhere.

Not really sure. I can only find a fuse in the handbook that protects the motor circuit, the mirrors move ok so unless there is a separate fuse that is not listed.........? Or I’ve been unable to find in the handbook.
Thanks for that.

There's bound to be a fuse for the heated mirrors. It may be on a shared circuit though? On my MGF, the heated mirrors are on the same circuit as the window lifts. No idea about the FL2!

fuse FA7 30 amp in handbook says mirrors and rear screen, says luggage compartment.
does this help.
Thank you, but I’m really looking for a fuse which protects just the heating element of the mirrors and I don’t think there is such a fuse. The heated screen works fine and the mirrors motor fine. I need some damp days to prove the fault before I return to the dealer but to date the weather has not obliged...can’t complain though.
