All I want for Christmas is no water leak - help please on Defender 110

A belated Merry Christmas and Happy new year!

Any advice or ideas welcome. Water into both foot wells - see attached photos on LR Defender 110 2014.

Stripped out the dash today and water coming in somehow, collecting in folded metal bracket and running into passenger foot well. The air intake for the heater I assume is a poor fit and no obvious leaks from above with no water staining. Tried a hose pipe on the drive but can't get the leak to happen. I always get water in after heavy rain and you can see the rust. Any ideas welcome. Thank you.

Download the water ingress manual and study that, but I would guess the 3 main places to look are, windscreen seal, bulkhead to windscreen frame seal, and bulkhead to windscreen “hinge” seals.

Someone I worked with said they once worked in Solihull JLR.
One job was checking for leaks in the deluge spray tank. All set up with marker pens at the ready, he and two other colleagues were poised for action inside a 110 with all the trim stripped out. Switch on the deluge spray and instantly they couldn't see one hand in front of the other let alone where the water was coming from.

I had a 1993 110 and no matter what I did I never completely stopped water getting in.
As stated, the windscreen and bulkhead seals need checking first. Dont think a 2014 has opening vents do they?
Wiper pivots, can also be a source but that seal between the bulkhead and windscreen is a prime source.
The water could be getting in at the ends and travelling across giving the impression of a leak in the middle too.

Its a problem, the local 4x4 place once showed me a 4 year old defender with a completely rotten bulk head.
We kept the old 110 bulkhead in one piece, which had better steel quality imo, by injecting waxoyl into it regularly.

I've stripped all the rubber mats out, sprayed the footwells with WD40 and parked on a slight slope. That way the water runs out under the doors.

Perished windscreen seals; windscreen frame-bulkhead seal; and wiper grommets are all favourites here. Some ‘Captain Tolley’s Creeping Crack Cure’ may help you.

Some times where the heater comes into the bulkhead lets water through

It’s probably quicker if we list all the places a Defender doesn’t leak from.

The only place a defender don't leak? & that's the washer bottle.
Even my tyres leak
