Looking for anyone whose had this issue and resolved it. I own a 2002 RR P38, (gasoline). We had several days of hard, drenching rain. I noticed some mold, (from condensation) on the carpet near the opening to the spare tire compartment several days later. I opened the tire compartment door and found, to my surprise nearly 2.5 gal of water. The spare tire was nearly submerged. It seems to be entering from the lower left corner inside the tire compartment its self. But I'm not sure. No water stains inside the car anywhere, nor from any of the windows. The car rear top and bottom hatch rubber seal is in tact and seems fine.

Anyone else had this issue? How did you resolve it?
Thx, Pat

Best to drop the rear seats sit in the boot and have someone spray water around the tailgate and rear quarter windows coz they can leak, and see where the ingress is..

Mine leaks around the rear quarter window and the tailgate seal even though it looks ok ;)

Unless the sunroof drain is split it is unlikely to be that. Usual problem is tailgate seal where upper and lower halves meet. There was a service bulletin about this a while ago. Remove seal, bend lip that seal slips over outwards 5mm for six inches either side of bend. Apply duct tape over lip and trim off to depth of lip. Squeeze seal grip together and refit.

+1 to that. A fine smear of silicone grease on the seal where it meets the tailgate also helps.

Post 3 of this which suggests there are pics in the CD manual:

Top corners. The rubber sshrinks a bit over time causing the top left and right corners to pull away allowing water to run inside.
You will probably find the water is coming in and dripping under the parcel shelf holder.

Hopeful 90% there now.
Some clown put it on upside down. There are 2 cutouts to allow a bend under parcel shelf.
Will look again in a few days

Bugger, Checked mine today and surprise, surprise yes more oggin in the well. Not much after all the rain we have had here but any is too much but at least now I have an idea where its coming from. Must be an age thing as this has only started this year. Just hope I don't follow suit and start leaking with age.;)

Nope, still leaking. It's the top corners allowing water into the channel. It's flowing down and coming out just above the hole in the floor. From there it makes its way into the tyre well.

I've cut the seal in the middle bottom to allow it to sit in the top corners.
I've also bent the flange as said in the tsb.
Pouring lots of water on the roof seems to have worked (I hope).
