The audio system is coded on a L322 as there’s several variants of stuff.

No way of reversing the firmware upload request with out uploading firmware

Do you know how to use INPA to code the replacement amp? When INPA is plugged in, I cant see the amp. Can see and control the radio/tv/nav modules but not the amp. The amp has both perm and ign fed live and the car did have an amp before it got wet. Would a battery reset and amp plugged in make the car see the amp is there? When I turn the radio on, I get the orange led next to the on/off switch. I don't however get DSP in the menu where on road nav/off road nav/tv/trip computer are.

There used to be a site called Neil Oakley or something like that wher eyou could download the firmware update discs from....plus nav discs....

http://www.neiloakley.com/

Have a nosey about on there.....

Plenty of gurus about - patience is a virtue young grasshopper, we all have other lives outside of Landyzone!
I downloaded the file for range rovers and burnt a disc using img burn and there are 8 files/folders on the disc but when I insert it into the nav unit it says its an incorrect disc.
Does this look correct?

You need to open one of the folders for your system fitted Mk2 etc. And then burn that to a disc (CD-ROM)

I don’t think you can code via INPA from memory - it’s been a long long time since I used it

Stunned at the lack of knowledge of what a set of image files looks like "file-wise" and how to burn a basic CD/DVD, when all the stuff is staring you in the face.
I guess it isn't an iPhone/iPad. LOL

I know and can do the first two bits but refuse to have anything to do with all things Apple! :D

Those files only appear once you burn it to disc. Before burning they were just a ccd and img file. Got the file rr.rar from the Neil okey site mentioned earlier in thus thread.

Mate, if you go into the Directories e.g. MK3 you will very likely find inside it the structure of a burnable CD/DVD image.
Looking at the upper "Vehicle Model" Directory and burning that as a CD/DVD won't get you anywhere.
It has to be an image file or mountable ISO type file not a Windows file system file list.
Put up a screenshot of the contents of the MK3 folder from your earlier screenshot. Let's have a look at it.

I just looked and the Range Rover Zip file has the following in it (for example).

Clues are there I think. There be image files on this here site fer sure! Arrr... Cap'n.

Ok off the disc - open up the folder Mk3 and take a photo of what’s in there

These are all the files on the disc. The highlighted file is whats on the right. All the others are pretty much the same. The NV folders are empty. If you open the LROC folders you get these files.....

So, that's not the MK3 folder is it? Its sub-directories inside that.

What is your vehicle? RR or MK2 or MK3 or MK??.
Go to that folder (root) and there will be an image in the ROOT folder. Everything under that root folder is probably part of that image.
Apart from ripping off DVD's and CD's have you never burnt an application image before?;)

@Stevie_B so if yours is 2004 L322, it probably is the MK3 folder you need to open, and burn the contents of that to a CD mate.
Good Luck. Hope it fixes yr problem.

When I get over my battery troubles, I need to look at my satnav in a 2004 td6. So I downloaded the files from Neil Oakley.

I'm using Windows and I see just one RR file, plus the version with BMW logo on that site, both as zip files. When I download them and use 7-zip to unzip , it shows a CRC error on both files.

If I then try to burn a CD using ImgBurn, I see a string of error messages about the sync/header being wrong in the image file.

The CD burns and looking at it, I see the directories Mk2C, Mk2M and MK3 similar to what Stevie_B reports. Inside the MK3 folder there are subfolders with numbers like 0103, some of the empty. Most of the files are tiny.

I'll try to continue investigations.

I haven't been burning cd's for 10 years or more. Who uses cd's these days? Used to do a lot with games and software. It is the mk3 folder. Only other files not shown are three which names escape me. Mine is an 04 RR vogue with a mk3 nav.
Not knowing what files the nav is looking for doesn't help. With hindsight I should have mounted the image to have a look at what was in it. Unless you've done this procedure it's not obvious what needs doing. It's not like you can browse once the disc is in and find something that works. I guess, unless someone can definitely say "you need this" I'll end up just burning a load of coasters. The instructions with the file just say burn the image and job done. Clearly it's not like that at all.

Well @Stevie_B , inside the V32_night_all for mk 3 zip file there are the following files:

So there is the image of the CD you need. If you can't make/burn one I can do it for you. I'm fairly local to you over in Benfleet.
