You tell us! If car won’t unlock with key in pouch next to it, then it works !

I had been very happy with mine UNTIL I discovered that when I am standing right next to it then it just does not work!! I then tried putting it in a tin box - that didn't work. Then I tried the tin box lined with foil and that didn't work either! All methods work from a distance but NO method works close up. Very, very annoying. I am now training my two dogs to ATTACK! if anyone tries to get in. And that's not working either.

So yep it works. Have seen some reviews on Amazon that say it stops working after a while but not sure how that happens unless the pouch gets compromised.

yea seems to be working fine

Pleased to report that I have finally found one that does work.
Disklabs Key Shield (KS1) Faraday Bag
Nor cheap but certainly does block the signals!

A lot! About £27, but it does work. My original' Defender' ones worked for the first few months but then it became obvious, when I was putting my Silver Screen on during the frost, that if I was standing close to the car with the key in the pouch, for more than a minute or so, it ceased to block the signal and I could just open the doors as normal. Give yours a try.

Disable keyless entry so yer need ter press a button ont fob ter lock un unlock it.

Yer got a Freelander 2 fob cover so yer may as well convert the fob to wurk like the Freelander 2 wurks. Sadly yer d4 won't change to a Freelander 2 int process.
