those wheels look pretty tough mate - sort of police interceptor style youll be glad of them in the bush. easy cleaning too. are they a special offset? what brand are they? such a shortage of cool wheels out here in Australia - at a reasonable price. they look great on your car. nice paint too. dont spend too much on it - get out there and tour!!!!!

Thanks man. Yeah they are p38/disco 2 specific. The offset is 25 I think off hand. You can get them from Beamach etc. Not sure on shipping to Australia though

Finally as promised the new (to me) bonnet. Here is what the old bonnet looked like before I started.

First I removed the pin stripe which had been applied down one side only on the new bonnet. At some point the previous car has had the side blown in as it was lacquered over. Managed to get it off. I've then removed as much of this second lacquer layer as possible using a sharp blade.

Using a DA polisher meguiars cutting compound and polishing compound I’ve started to correct the new bonnet as best I can. Some of the scratches were really deep and as you can see the whole bonnet is scuffed and scratched.

Pretty pleased with the results. It’s by no means perfect but as the paint isn’t 100% on the rest of the truck it is good enough.

Finally swapped onto the truck with new black letters to finish it off. Pretty pleased with it. I had to swap the washer jets accross too. I might have another run at some of the deeper scratches again but for now it's done.

Can't do that but it may be up for sale soon. Changing jobs with a bit of a commute so need a more economical daily.

Nice to see a lot of the same work I've had to do done by others. Good effort mate BZ
