Best seats to fit S3

Hi everyone. After advice on the best seats that fit in a series 3. Pics added will be a massive bonus. There seems to be alot that fit but make it very cramped for driving

After something abit more rustic to be honest

my 3 has early 90 seats I find them very comfortable, longest I have sat in them is about 4 hours. as far as I can tell they don't really alter the available space and you can still use the under seat box on the passenger side. did away with the middle seat mainly so that any of the kids don't get pressurised into carrying too many passengers

iirc masda mx5 seats fit well sure I have seen pics of them in series rovers

they need a bit of a refurb, was thinking of getting one of those kits or at least some new bases.

freed up the sliders over the summer with a lot of plusgas and a hammer

Series 3 delux seats and early 90 are the same.

Since the revolution in tiny crappy cars in the 1990s such as the Ford Ka there are loads of modern seats about that get fitted to classic vehicles as upgrades. These seats tend to be more comfortable but narrow enough to fit in vehicles that were designed in the 1960s.

The only reason I can see for changing the seats is for the look, but to my eyes, modern seats just look wrong in a series. My series seats are very comfortable, more so than the ones in my freelander. Anyway, only the very hardy will be driving a series for more than an hour or so.

I got some Paddocks "Deluxe" Seat backs in the front of the 109. So much nicer than the old slab ones. Might get the "Deluxe" bases next month depending whether I have any cash left at the end of this month.

I chucked out a pair of cloth seats from my Toyota MR2 roadster that in hindsight if I'd kept them would probably have worked in the Landy. They're quite a compact high back design.

As it is the Landy I bought has the typical flat type military seats and I want to keep it original. I just bought a pair of new backs on ebay, someone is selling them for £16.95 each (just search land rover seat back).
