So where is it again?(Freelandy 2 2009 TD4 80k)
I had a butchers under the steering wheel and there's a big plate with the legend "Airbag" on the corner.
Didn't want to prise it off and get a faceful of marshmallow.I've got to find out why the damn motor keeps going into limp mode every time I go up a wibbly wobbly slope - plenty of those around here.MAF and MAP sensors replaced but no joy.I've got a cheap Chinese reader so want to have a bash.
Never had this trouble with my old Rover P4.

you shouldn't need to prise anything off it is there just under the front panels, on mine which is left hand drive it is sort of right of the bonnet pull tucked up under the dash panel

Cheers for that, you realise that with my poor old back I could get locked into position.:D
Anything to save a few quid.

I borrowed a scanner and am getting a reading of what looks like P07E8 and P07E9 - can't find anything relevant.
Has anyone got it off the top of their heads or can point me to an article on here?
Cheers in advance, got to go and feed several Red Kites and a couple of semi tame Peregrine Falcons.Bloody freeloaders.:D

Passenger side foot well right side about 10" up you will a rubber cap remove then you can plug in the diagnostic tool .

P007 etc E8/E9 all point to transmission control system, and bring on the MIL light

Thanks for that sir.
Trouble is no light is coming on.
What it is....goes into limp mode if I drive up a slope with a twist in it,stop and restart and everything okay for a spell.Usually worse when it's cold.Overtaking one of the many tractors around here is alarming when you want that extra.Friend of mine has had the turbo out and cleaned it up.MAP and MAF sensors replaced.Stuck an EGR blank on it but didn't like the way it felt.Must admit to being rather stumped here, don't fancy a trip to the main dealers.:(
