Disco 2 Grinding.. Knocking.. Still haven't found it.

So had this for months now.. actually think it was after I replaced all brakes and suspension components. Only "grinds" when turning right and only really when on the gas pedal. doesn't do it when turning left nor when its rolling. I've had all 4 brake calipers and dust guards off and made sure all that was clear. The knocking noise is constant thought, seems mostly over potholes about 10mph or so, I think both noises seem to come from the right side.. and I'd say more towards front, maybe. Front springs and shocks all seem to be seated fine, and all ACE bushes have been replaced. Bit stumped with these noises..

You sure it is not the TC cutting in?

Not really sure if I asked before, if I did it must have been a good while ago.. sorry!
Deffo not TC kicking in though.. think I'd hear the motor thingy in the dash.

Did check both CV boots and neither are split or leaking grease. Im sure I checked those bearings too.. but Ill get it jacked up again tomorrow and double check.

Would it not be more at lower speeds like when parking etc? This only seems to happen when above a certain speed.

Did check all my wheel bearings, and can't find play in any. Im not exactly sure how to check the CV joins other than looking at the boots, I have tried turning at full lock but no noise until I get my speed up to 10mph or so, nothing below that, and still, only when turning right.

get it up on stands whip the wheel off and have a bloody good poke, twist, rock. try twisting it back and forth check for play and general sloppiness. thats what id do lol

Find an empty car park and put hard lock on in both directions, then drive it hard as possible. If it's a CV problem you'll hear it.

Ah well... not too sure whether to be really pleased, or a little embarrassed, or a bit of both. After getting tired of the clogged up cat I decided to chuck my spare de cat pipe on there, and it must have twisted the exhaust a little (a couple of hangers have snapped) So I got under and strapped it up with er.. a coat hanger. And well.. no more grinding or knocking.. Im guessing, when turning right, the exhaust would hit the watts linkage, and accelerating would twist the engine at just the right angle... god knows. But its fixed!
