P38 gems bit of a misfire

After last weeks breakdown, we recorded the following fueling data, this was parked up though just idling and revving the engine upto 2000 revs.
From the graphs which bank is behaving properly?

First of all that’s the first time I have seen something out of a Nanocom (has been on the wish list for a while)
I am sure if you can interpret it then it would be easy to tell.
For me right now I will stick with my old Bosch (just need to get it fixed it’s got a glitch right now)
Would have liked to see Rpm and loop setting.
But I may take a stab and take 2 guesses at this:rolleyes:
So you could say that bank 1 is making more adjustment, so more sensitive and the fuel trim is more stable.
Bank 2 makes less adjustment and fuel trim is all over the place.
So what do they each mean?
I don’t understand the left hand scale on the precat graph? (It makes no sense to my understanding) but maybe the way nanocom interpret.
Do a comparison pull a plug lead on 1 bank at a time and log results. Idle only and engine up to full operating temps.

There is obviously more on your screen we can’t see and I am interested in the Nanocom.

You say you have a misfire? Change the plugs and see what it does.
A misfire you may have proven by logging what you have done but, more needs to be looked/logged to find the culprit. And you never actually said why you broke down?

As I say absolutely no idea about Nano com output/graphs.

But would like to see a set of graphs from a good running car for comparison.

the breakdown was i believe the crank sensor as it just died and the gearbox logged a missing engine rpm input.
changed the sensor this morning before its mot, which it passed, emissions where, idle CO 0.18, fast idle CO 0.12, HC 31
and lambda 1.015
A set of graphs from a good running engine would be helpful to compare but you don't think to do things like that, your just happy its working!
 
I would be hesitant pulling plug leads - I have heard/read it can damage the ECU, better to pull an injector connector....

I would say Bank 2 is going a tad off scale fuel trim wise.

The % scale is fuel trim - on the GEMS, fuel trim is 0 to -25% for lean and 0 to +25% for rich.....once it approaches the upper limit and it still can't get a good burn, it will log a P code fault P1175 or 1176 or 1178 I can't remember which as the fuel trims have reached the end of their limits.
 
looks to me like the Bank 2 O2 sensor is screwed

at 0.35 bank 1 is cycling on the 02 sensor and fuel trim is constantly adjusting, on bank 2 at the same time, the sensor drops down and the fuel tim goes off the scale
