I've just joined the forum and wanted to say Hi. I've just got back into the world of the green oval after a 7 year hiatus when I bought my Discovery 2 Td5 the other day. I'm loving being back and driving a Landy again has put a smile back on my face :)

I started out in Landy ownership back over 10 years ago when I bought my first one - a Lightweight Series 3. I then moved on to a Range Rover Classic V8 EFi but sold them both when my first child came along and I realized I wouldn't have time to work on them anymore. Still regret the decision to sell them (the Landy's not the kids :-D).

However, now the kids are older and able to come Green Laning/off Roading I've managed to persuade the Mrs to let me get a Disco 2. I'm loving it so far. It's in good condition considering it's age but there's plenty of jobs to do still (mostly tidying up rust here and there) so can't wait to get started again.

I'm sure I'll be asking some stupid questions soon about Disco 2s as they're all new to me but most of the generic Land Rover knowledge is slowly coming back!

Cheers
Paul

Welcome to the looneyzone.

A couple of points that may be of use.

Find a friend who has working diagnostics for a Disco 2.
Make sure you have your EKA code.
Download the rave workshop manual.
Make sure your drivers door lock key barrel works.

Cheers
