Stupid question time.
Buttercups body mounting rubbers are a little old and starting to degrade, (bit like a few of us I suppose)
I intend to replace these next year as part of the ongoing to-do list.
Now my question is, what is the problem with fitting the new bushes with the bolts fitting from below with the nuts on the top?. All washers/bolts/nylocks will be new.
In my mind it would make fitting the new mountings so much easier without having to lift up carpets etc to access the mounting points, I would unbolt the existing, drop the lower rubber mount off and cut the existing bolt to remove the rest.

they can be a right bugger to get access to drop the bolts in from the top. i did the Suffix A that way only because i lifted the bodyshell off dropped the bolts in the top half of the rubber mount and aligned the bolts for the lower half. unless you are lifting the whole bodyshell off bolt through the bottom and nut on the top is the only practical way of doing it

Thanks mate, just what I was thinking.
