As promised , I said I would leave comments on my order. I have nothing to do with this company and this is just my personal experience.
I placed the order which was just over a grand. The free delivery doesn't apply to me so had to pay for postage. Roughly £70, cheapest, £130 on a pallet
The pallet would be safest from damage but went for courier . I told them my concerns and they said they would put extra packing in. Knowing how parcels are treated first hand I was relieved to get everything in good order .I must say I didn't notice any extra packing around the door skins only the cardboard box. I was hoping for a sheet of hardboard on the outsides of the skins. Anyway it all arrived in good order more by luck I think.
So pros, cheap ish and well made.
Cons, these are all stated in their t&c,s. Coms are by email only but they do respond usually on the night of your email .packing could be better according to other comments . Their t&c,s are very abrupt and not very customer friendly but at least you know what your letting yourself into . So all in all a positive experience.

I've bought a few things from them and never had any bother. Nothing particularly delicate though.

I was just worried about the door skins as I know how couriers can treat parcels and they state that they are not responsible in case of damage.
Aye, I think you were right to be worried, especially as your pallet must have changed mode of transport a fair few times.
If it was my company I'd make sure packing was top drawer. Reputation is everything. Having a couldn't give a feck policy won't save you.

What a pain. Fingers crossed it doesn't turn out to be too much hassle for you Mick.
Thanks, I thought everything was going too well . I was like a kid at Christmas and started by putting the new lenses on the back. I then realised it wasn't in the box like their ad shows it. As I've signed for the packages I can only appeal to their better nature.
As least it has spurred me on a bit. I rubbed down the new rear door and got it in primer and primed and base coated all the door and bonnet hinges. Hopefully top coat door tomorrow then clear coat ready to put it on the weekend.

I know Will quite well. A honest and hard working guy.

My advice would always be to go to them if you have the option. In person he has the best customer service around. Even the professional garages use him over the bigger lr center that's just up the road.
My impression of why the firm can appear hard nosed when distance selling isnt caused initially by Will, it's the small but chav element you get with land rovers. Always trying to head work him, lying etc.
Being a small form it's harder for him to cover the costs etc

I have no problem with no one manning the phone. When i was a sole trader, the longer I was on the phone was time I wasn't earning.

Oldish post, I know, but my very recent experience with SP 4x4 is worth a mention. I ordered some parts and, unfortunately, what was sent was not quite what I ordered. A quick email had the company confirm that the correct items were being mailed and for me to keep the original parts sent in error! The correct parts arrived a day later to NI, so by any measure that is excellent customer service and a big thanks to SP 4x4.

Actually they are responsible, T&C's cannot rewrite uk law, if their terms and conditions are contrary to regulations then they arnt worth the ink they are written with, it's up to the company posting the goods to get them to you undamaged.
