I have a series petrol engine fitted in a 90 mated to a lt77 box. An inertia starter motor won't fit as the bell housing obstructs it. The 2.3 petrol pre- engaged starter (prc6613) doesn't work, though it fits in the space. Is there any way of getting this one to work? If not what pre-engaged options do I have. I have seen Heavy duty versions going for £220 on fleabay, surely there must be other alternatives. Anyone any ideas?

I'm surprised there weren't any other options for the series petrol starter, I bit the bullet and bought a Hi torque starter off fleabay, i'll fit it this week and see how it goes.
