How much did you pay for your Land Rover?

My defender 300tdi 1 owner I payed 2500 for a newly galvi chassis & 25 boxes of bits. spent 5k building it.
My current D2 td5 1 owner with galvi chassis I bought off here & im not disclosing the price.!!

My D1 I payed 2400 & got 8k worth of receipts with it & ive spent plenty on it & now im going to break it
as I don't have the time to finish it as ive just taken on a unit to do repairs after hours & weekends.
plus ive got a ramp & compressor ect to pay for.
 
The Discovery 2 after a good clean, I was umming and ahhing whether or not to buy her when I went to look at her and actually walked away as she looked unclean and didn't exactly light my fire.. but she had a relatively low mileage (120,000) and full Land Rover main dealer service history up to 117,000 miles so after some thought I decided to take a chance and picked her up a few days after my first viewing.

I took her home and gave her a good clean, polish and wax and she came up beautifully and I couldn't be more happier. The only thing that really lets her down now are the wheels which I will have refurbished after the winter months.

I would have painted them within the first couple of days of buying it but im a bit ocd when it comes to details ;)

Thank you, I always wanted a Defender but I couldn't be happier with the Discovery :)

Yeah, I get very ocd when it comes to details too, I also have a compressor and spray gun ( although have never used the spray gun before) so really I should have given it a go myself by now but work has kicked off in the past few months so that is where all my attention has been recently. I also have a friend who does a lot of custom work including hot rods etc. who said he will refurb them for me.

thats good to know that it aint that difficult, my alloys are fine but at least i know if they get kerbed it wont be too difficult to sort them out

A set of 18" comets would suit her down to the ground!

£6.5k for my 1986 Tithonus 110,rebuilt by the army around 2007.
Chose ex mod as you know there won't be any previous owner bodges.
(I'm probably well over £10k now though)

Aye they are addictive motors.

Kind of like chocolate..

Too much of it is bad for ya, you know it's give you diabetes and eventually kill you.

But when you see it with the wrapper half off you can't help yer self! ;)
 
Paid 2500€ for my 101 as a non runner...but had galv chassis low milage and a s/s petrol tank lying unfitted its also got a pto knokken winch...but its taken another 2000€ to replace all rubber hoses bushes new alt,water pump,electronic dizzy, brake components etc and for the agent to re-register it to portugese plate the biggest cost and is sheduled for first week in november...will see if it happens its Portugal I've waited 4 months already...
