Not sure if this is right places, But I need a quick answer . Is £450 fully comp on z defender van about right or to much , that's full no claims and a old f@RT

That's about what I paid, including green lane and euro travel.
Edit: Mine is slightly modified but can have extra mods at no cost.

Got it for £420 , 5000miles a year I do more like 600 , full comp , the killer parked on a road , quiet road but its a road , I'm in Cheshire in a town, so not inner city , classed as a commercial , as you most likely know , 1996 300 , But not sure I've got a good deal looking at the replies , thanks for those .

Depends where you live, where it's kept at night, your job, your age, security features, mods etc etc.

Strangely enough IC's reckon the theft risk is higher if the vehicle is kept on the driveway. I pay £168 fully comp.for my RRC (on drive) & that includes agreed-value.
Post-codes are also a significant factor I believe.

Yup... Heritage

I'd used them for 5 years but this year the premium increase significantly & they seemed unable to reduce it by much, so I went elsewhere & got the same cover (plus another grand of agreed-value) for only £10 more than last year's price.
The irony is that a week later they sent me an email stating that they would beat any quote o_O
Sent them a pithy email, but strangely enough I never received a reply.

That's because you were paying for Er1c's too :D:D:D

Silly question... again. it depends on the vehicle, vehicle value, post code, use, where kept over night, age and driving record/experience, NCB, additional drivers and in case I’ve forgotten something... etc etc.

This year my disco fully comp protected £180+150excess and my Jag XE S £720+450 excess then there’s the Capri at £132... no tax or mot required for that :D

I dunno tbh… It should.... but we have moved with the 110 and its now parked outside in a worse area and its the same price.

Standard 1994 300tdi, £150 2y ncb no spring chicken.....assume it covers green lanes as they are technically roads in the eye of the law, why should we pay extra to drive on a road?

I agree, my policy does not allow NCB as it's not a main vehicle or some such nonsense :) it is however allowed to be modified without penalty. As long as I notify them of the change and dont add nitrous oxide lol :D:D:D

Just so varied on prices , Im using 6 years no claims off one of my wife's cars we sold ??, How they worked it out . so i can leave my golfs ncb alone . , Definitely no spring chicken , But its the best they could do £420 . Go compare gave quotes from £360-800 , and that's putting my max NCB , Just to get a rough idea .

Seems quite similar to mine. I'm currently on £416 p.a. with E Sure. I got the Land Rover in 2012, prior to which I hadn't had a car for many years. No claims, no accidents, no points on my licence. It's a 2006 TD5 and I live in the East Midlands. I cover a lot of miles but whether I ask for a quote for, say, 10,000 miles or 15,000 miles doesn't seem to make a lot of difference, only £40 or so.

Just had my renewal from Flux Direct £348 up from £275 last year :( Did a quick search to Compare the Meerkat yesterday and Lancaster Insurance came in at £127 so called them up and for another £18 got agreed value £145 all in happy days :D:D:D
