Angle grinder cutting discs

Used to take the dogs out for their walk round the northern loop over the river valley , either that or through the park with the concrete cows.. They were well watered:)
 
Wots the bestest 9 inch angle grinder disc option to cut house bricks? 3mm cut width an option?

Problem is I want to cut a clean edge on a wall. So thought about cutting it with me angle grinder. Probably going to make a lot of dust so will water the floor first.
 
Yeah, sorry I don't know the answer. :D

Last time I used a stone disc in my angle grinder (4 1/2") was awful, made so much dust and crap I reckon I could have reconstituted another brick from the mess! If I did it again I'd have someone stood close by with either a watering can or hose and trickle water onto the cut and disc to minimise dust .. :)

Thinking about this some more... I may follow the idea of choping the bricks but doing so while they're still part of the wall. Dun't need to be perfectly neat. I could always cement over the end if it ends up looking a mess.
 
For house bricks any diamond disc will do, I’ve just bought this beauty for doing some harder paving, better be worth it for £45!

I dun't know as I weren't around when the pyramid's were built. Easy to chop bricks on their own. More difficult when some g*t has cemented them together.
 
Well this thread went on and on didn't it.. :)

Cheers all.. I got some cheap 1mm cutting discs and they are much easier to be accurate with and very fast.

Here's a picture of a grinding disc. Was 6mm, now about 3mm but looking threadbare. I haven't done much grinding until now. Is this the point I should stop using it or has it got some more? (Cutting discs I find I just stop using anyway because they wear down and lose their reach..)

I keep using them until they're not effective at grinding! Cutting discs break apart very easily, but 6mm discs tend to stay together a lot better, though I guess that also depends on whether you grind on the end or face, or both .. :)
