Rear parking sensors on my Freelander are not working.

The switch for the sensors is flashing and no noise is coming from any of the sensors.
On searching through other posts it looks as though there may be faulty connection at the ECU which I believe may be behind the passenger side rear light fitting.

Just looking for some additional advise/guidance if that is correct and to see if anyone has had the same problem , and fixed it.

Thanks again

Dave

It could be that one of the individual sensors has failed. I had the same problem when I bought mine a few years ago. The garage changed a sensor and it's been tip top since.

I had a similar issue in that the reversing light was flashing but I had no sound. I checked all sensors (turn the key to the first setting and put the gears into reverse, then go to the rear of the car and move close to each sensor to hear if they are all clicking). If one or more aren't clicking then it is probably a failed sensor. If, on the other hand, they are all working, as mine were, the next thing to check is the buzzer on the reverse of the module (found in the rear RH boot panel as stated above). I replaced mine with one from a breakers and all worked fine. If it's not the buzzer then it's the ECU or loom.

Have the same problem on my 2006 FL2 SE. Byt today when it was 0 degrees out, the system worked perfectly. Then after i run down to the willage, about 7 km. they stop working. Possible when all places are frozen, its working. No just to try to get out all trancducers and check the connections one by one.

You need to run a diagnostic to find out what's wrong.

I've go an issue with my own PDC at the moment.
My PDC isn't working, but the codes don't really help me.

But getting the codes is the first thing to do.
