Well I'm tied up for most of September with various things but I might be free the last weekend, that would be our last chance to do either the Sussex lanes or anything interesting in Kent before they all close over the winter

yeah apologies, after mid september my weekends free up a bit and we can do some more marshy stuff then, perhaps east sussex into kent.
I am thinking of getting trailwise2 i think and using it on my ipad

22/23rd would be a good weekend, before the winter closures?

Yeah, I was thinking we needed to get in one more run on some of the lanes that close from 1st October for winter, that date looks good Ed, @capo you gonna have your beast from the East ready by then?

Ferk nose !
Getting a tad ****ed off with the lack of progress.....the main mechanic is away again  but he got it running and moving ok before he left but the electrics are still an issue and they've not even started checking the chassis and pre-MoT checks yet. I've SORNed it as MoT & RFL expire on 31st.
They suggested that if the wiring gets sorted and the 'rot' is nothing major, it could be ready by end of next week.........I'll believe that when I'm driving it!
I'm away 17-24 September so that only leaves the w/e 15-16 and 29-30 available for me - assuming the 90 is back by then.
Maybe next year (I have got a Landy, really! ;))

Not all lanes have seasonal restrictions so there are plenty of opportunities to come buddy, sounds like they're messing you around a bit there, I'd be having stern words if you're paying anything more than mates rates!

Cheers! One day......

We agreed a very reasonable price on condition that if there were issues or delays they'd have to put it aside and get on with their regular workload and get back to it when more time.
It has turned out to be far less straightforward than anticipated mainly due to missing or non-fitting parts needing mods etc. I wish I had bought the whole Disco now as it would have made it so much easier. The non-expected welding work, rebuilding the efi loom (it had been cut off) and now the dodgy dash wiring and possible chassis rot has further extended the conversion time, and Phil being away twice for a month at a time hasn't helped either.
I know it'll be worth it in the end, as Phil is a perfectionist; he works slowly but properly with no short-cuts, bodges or make do's. It just seems to have dragged on and on......

Well I'll have to check my on-call rota for the 29th/30th, as DD says not all lanes have seasonal closures, just most of them, including most of the interesting ones in Sussex and lots in Kent, post Oct 1st we'd have to go further west or north.
@flat TW2 is great, I used it to record my usage last weekend, I'd say that alone is worth the price of GLASS membership.
