My 300tdi feels abit flat compared to the one i had in my disco, so i thought id check the fuel pump pin to see if its been messed with.
Absoulotly stuck solid, no movement up and down, presumably water has got in while the engine was out on the floor before i bought it.

Ive managed to get the pin free to move up and down, but the govner? pin is still stuck out so i cant remove the fuel pin.

While normaly working, does anything make the pin retract?
Ive seen you can remove the throttle arm, and get behind it, but you still cant pull the pin back in from there so im not sure thatll help me? And i risk screwing something up then lol.

Any ideas on getting it free?

I think theres an allen kep cay that has the pin underneath, sure if you google some pics will come up?
Once its freed up take a look at the breather set up under the boost diaphragm and you will see and deep water work will inevitably allow some water past the rubber nipple into the pin chamber and if stood it will start to seize!

Im a little apprehensive taking the throttle linkage off incase i screw up putting it back together (or loosing something when it goes ping!)

From the way it drives, i think the stroke limiting pin is stuck at the low fuel position, theres nothing when you put your foot down, its like the NA it replaced

Took the throttle linkage off and got it all freed up,
Only hard part really was getting the spring back on properly, but i practiced first on my spare pump:D

Pulls perfect now
