I’m looking at and trying to find out how people have gone around making their own headlinings from scratch. My roof doesn’t have a sun roof or alpine windows

I was thinking of using sound deadining material then a faux headlining material over the top. I haven’t bought any materials yet as I’m still looking about and trying to work out how much I’d need. Any pictures or other suggestions much welcome

Cheers Tom

Whatever material you use, just make sure you use good quality high temperature glue

i used 6mm closed cell foam stuck this to all bare metal then stuck roof lining material to this the proper roof lining material is really easy to use the way it stretches into concave curves is brilliant but as lynall says use high temp adhesive as i ran out and used normal so ended up doing it twice i lined down to the top off the tub now no floods on damp mornings from condensation and reduced noise level by a lot more than expected

I used the “nemesis” stuff from screwfix. My insulation has been on for around 2 years, and isn’t showing any signs of falling off. My roof is red, so won’t absorb as much heat as a black roof.
