Well if it goes pop and heads off in a different direction when you are driving, it probably is. Good news is , I reckon you have a spare or two.

Dunno if there is any left in my transfer box, last owner decided to fix the gasket leak by putting liquid gasket on the outside of the box.. like literally he just smeared it everywhere, it might even be household silicone.. but then again thats the same guy who blocked the oil cooler off with a bolt and hose clamp

I've got a series 2a gearbox and transfer box and a discovery td5 that I've broken the small pipe on the top of the rad
I've been watching a couple of tdi's on eBay to butcher for parts

If it is only the actual pipe back to the expansion tank and not the connection that is part of the rad . Then you can get a replacement pipe for about a tenner.

It's the little plastic pipe in the top corner of the rad

I bought some silicone hose from ebay of the same diameter, although that was just to match the colour of coolant pipes.. but it was cheap and works well..

Should be able to glue that back in place.
