Bad news for those of you who think like me that this is one of the best lanes
The National Park are going to resurface it. No doubt it will be drivable by my car and Freelanders in future :D
It shuts 1st Sept to Christmas so if you want to drive it one last time or perhaps for the first time. You gave two weeks
I’m taking our lot to do it on the bank holiday weekend which should be fun :D

Following on from this thread, Tilberthwaite has now been re-surfaced, but I have noticed new steel posts at the start at both ends that appear to be awaiting road signs.
Is there a TRO in the pipe-line? Doesn't look good.

Apparently they were used for the temporary TRO signs during resurfacing

They weren't there in November. The posts are both side of the track, a pair at the farm and a pair where the track splits off to the ford.
They also look new and don't look like they have spent the winter in the open.
(The pic is from November 2018)
