3.New alternator belt.
4.New power steering belt.
5.Greece all prop UJ via greece nipples.
6.Sump gasket.

Ok thast the basics **** i know what needs done but within those service items is there anything else i can check?. The landy gona be used alot this year up north so it gota be reliable and well tuned and serviced.

At present she startes well charges the battery fine. All gearbox and transfer box options work fine. Brakes are evry good. lights etc are fine.
On startup it spews out smoke for while till it warms up. Fuel consumption is fking terrible but no tank or line leaks. Evryhting else fine.

Gona start this work Mondy morning hope to ahve the lot done by end of january.

Cheers

If it's going to take that long the world will definitely end just as you've finished it so I'm gonna do all the same stuff to second vehicle (Metrocab) today and I haven't even started yet 'cos I've only just got up.

Try a special system of servicing called
"maintenance by neglect".

Basically you don't fix it if it isn't bust, but you pay attention all the time, and as soon as anything needs fixed, you fix it.

This is how we looked after our old army trucks. We never serviced them to the mileage schedule because they would never have made it that far!

We had a Scammell wrecker that needed its prop shafts greased every FIFTY miles! What a pain in the arse that was.
