Ok I have acceleration lag on my landy it kicks in at around 2 to 2.5k revs, I changed the MAF sensor but wondered the best way to find the issue, start cheap and work upwards lol

Have you taken a close look at the Intercooler pipes to see if there is any wear?
I have a similar issue but it only seems to kick in after being out on a longish drive. After changing back down to 2nd or 1st at junctions, I get a lag when I put my foot down, it's pretty annoying and it's not that consistent!
I have, however, found that the intercooler pipe before the MAF sensor has been rubbing over the years against the screw what holds the front right manifold cover lug. There is a lot off damp sooty gloop that is in the general area so I'm guessing its just releasing under pressure from that point, or nearer to the MAF (yet to replace the MAF sensor but took the pipes off to clean and all looked ok though.
