Hi all,new to the forum and need help please, I am a L/r enthusiast and have a 2010 L322 S/c among other L/r and try wherever possible to carry out my own repairs. Now with this hot weather I noticed a blob of grease landing on the drive from the rear of my L322, quick glance underneath shows split CV boot. some time later and the rear hubs have been off, new knuckle and lower bushes, new tie bars, new discs, pads and calipers and CV boots to both drive shafts, within the process I found the ABS sensors ceased to the hubs so I decided to replace those as well. It is all but ready to have a four wheel alignment done at an indi but I'm getting fault codes on both rear sensors, on my Lynx it is saying "signal wave form failure" this happens when driving just a few yards down the drive, I've checked the replaced sensors and they are identical, I am at a loss as to what is causing this to fault so any assistance would be gratefully received. cheers

My lynx fault code, obviously the hill decent, Stability control,EPB etc all fault as well.

Umm did wonder that but I don't understand how the gap can be wrong with a new sensor, secured by it's bolt, what else can effect the gap? worn bearings I presume which is not the case here, what else can influence the gap?

Having now spoken to my local garage he tells me Cambiare are rubbish, with there being no fault before I rebuilt the back end and now both are showing faults I guess it does point to sensors.

It does happen, bad ones slip through the QC!
I had fitted a Bosch lambda sensor to a client's car and it failed after 200mls..
Had to fill out a claim.s form and wait a month while they had it verified by an independent... Really happy client....:(
We were eventually given the money back and fitted a fai part instead.. splendid lambda pattern to be had by all!!

Thats what I was hinting at,certain things need to be genuine parts.

Thanks. I thought my supplier only supplied good quality aftermarket parts but in fairness to them it would appear there are only two manufacture options on these sensors, Cambiare or genuine L/R so they supplied the only ones available to them, genuine ones arriving today so we'll see...everyday a school day!
