Hey all,

Turns out after further inspection that my porous leaky fuel tank had already had an attempted fix.

So i'm biting the bullet and purchasing a new one. It's an underseat military style so costs a fair bit more than the regular 2a tank.

I've found britpart tanks and bearmach tanks. My new waterpump is britpart, i know they're not fabulous but it'll do for now.

Does anybody have an opinion on how good or ****e bearmach stuff is? I've searched the part number of the tank as shown by craddocks, it seems to come up with multiple results, some tanks at around the £200 mark and on the same page one for £800!?!?

So a little confused there. Anyway, attached is my tank, need to make sure i get the correct one so if anyone has a link to it/any advice and it's decently priced i'd be very grateful.

If you knew a good welder you. You could have this stainless tank. Needs the fuel sender area welding back up.
Just leaks a bit on top. Otherwise leak free

Have you weighed up retro fitting a normal one with the filler behind the drivers door? I doubt it would cost much less but with second hand parts it might be an option.

Don't really want to add a normal filler cap on the outside. Trying my best to get it back to how it looked when it was new. I also like the quirk of having an underseat filler. I like it.

I think the Bearmach ones are dearer for a reason. Everythink I have had off them has been good for budget gear.

At least you know it will come direct from Bearmach. At least one of the others advertise anything and it still arrives in a blue box direct from Shropshire. the packing is terrible from Britpart. Itll be round when it arrives from them.

I might just drop them a few pics to make sure, since that does say auxillery. Though it isn't replacing an auxillery.

On the bearmach website the same item is far more expensive. and out of stock.
