Am i right in turning to full lock open the bolt and wind screw in
Defender td5 steering adjustment

A little by little until the steering starts to feel tight. No notches ans should turn smoothly. Dont over do it

Must be done at straight ahead position, never at full lock.

not in either lock only if box is central ,it will have increasing play as you go to either lock its the center position that should have no play

I read that it was best to do it with full lock
I slackened the bolt and tightened it about 1 turn and it didnt make any difference the play is about half a turn

well dont if you remove play at a lock youll will damage the box as it goes through the center position

Should i try and turn it the last turn on the screw with wheels at centre as i might have 1 or 3/4 of a turn
