Ok, some photos to show the difference between the mounting positions of the v8 and 200tdi

I will be modifying the mounting brackets on the v8 engine to pick up on the 200tdi positions on the chassis. (Dont want to cut the brackets off the chassis because its galvanised).

Good idea I went same way used a box section and nut and bolted together only mine was closer and my gearbox had short bell housing so went back more

I want to keep the engine in the ‘land rover v8 position’ to keep everything else stock.
I know that standard exhaust manifolds wont fit because of the issue with the engine mounts but i was always planning on fabricating my own stainless ones anyway.

I used standed twin exhaust manifold and disco down pipes and center section which takes a lot of messing to fit mainly because of cross member then finihedf with a stainless P38 Piper back box sounds great

Good Luck with the conversion! I will have a crack at this one day :)

Update!
I swapped the mockup block for the actual engine i’m going to eventually use.
Only temporarily installed for me to fabricate the manifolds and exhaust.
