New owner of a TD4 auto with Tickover issues

Hi I am the new owner of an 02 plate TD4. Having already owned an older L Series Diesel I decided to move onto the TD4 engine, wish I had not now.

I love the Freelander but not currently enjoying ownership after a few problems. All have been resolved so far but I now have another materialised. This could of course be linked to other issues already addressed but not sure.

I would really appreciate any advice that will get her running properly again and get my other half back onside.

The engine runs fine on idle when in park or neutral but not when stopped in drive. It's almost like the torque converter is not fully disconnecting the auto box or dragging clutch on a manual.
