That's looking great, Mick.
Its not concourse but its honest. I haven't heard that term before  :)
It doesn't matter that you've hibernated it for a while. But, try not to rush stuff or cut corners. I know from experience that you can regret it later.
Keep ya chin up mate. It's coming together. :)

Good to see you back Mick. I know exactly what it’s like...the highs and lows of rebuilding a Land Rover...much like my bank account!
It can seem like one step forward, two back at times. For me this has been my own personal Everest. I’m still battling with mine but I know once it’s done it’s going to be something to be proud of and I’m sure you’ll feel the same about yours.
Nice job on the paintwork and good colour choice. All the more satisfying when you can do it yourself.

This is the current state of affairs after 4 years:

A lot of blood, sweat and cussing...and money! I think I'm within the last 12 months...I like to think so anyway!

Thanks Mick. It is Raptor; I initially got it to spray the inside of the rear tub but then tried it on a panel and thought it looked pretty cool so that was that.
I might be way ahead of you but it has taken most of my spare time to get it there. I must admit I’m looking forward to life after it’s done but once I’m up there working on it I do enjoy it. There have been many a day when I’ve questioned my sanity for taking this on but I only have to look back at photos past to remind me how far it’s come.

@Karls I know what you mean. I was looking at my photos again from the start and it cheered me up realizing how much was behind me. I love the look of the raptor but bottled out on spraying the whole vehicle in case it didn't work, would have been in a whole world of pain trying to get that off. How did your tub fit to the new crossmember? The holes in the tabs at the rear don't line up with the holes in tub. I'm thinking the xmember may have dropped while welding or when I straightened up the spreaders under the tub, I might now be sitting a bit high.hope it doesn't affect the roof and doors. Did you create a thread? Would love to see photos.

My tub fitted well, I was amazed at that. It sounds like something on yours must have moved as the new cross member is some chunky piece of metal. Hopefully Land Rover build tolerances will mean you’re still ok. I didn’t create a thread as I knew I just couldn’t dedicate the time to it. I have taken plenty of photos so far just to keep track of what I’ve done etc.

That's going to be a head turner, no mistake :D Lovely work.

Well thats what ive been up to. will clear coat the roof tomorrow if not too windy. windscreen frame painted and glazed ( that was a job and a half getting the screen back in). Will put them together when i get a lift on with them. engine bay and inside of bulkhead will be done in raptor. Then that leaves the bonnet which is in good nick and will match the roof, and then the doors which all require major welding, panel beating and filling.

brilliant mate looking good i too now av a bit ov urg to do some done on mine yours like mine is some 4 years on but today a mile stone as my painted tub was lifted into place ,,,,keep up progress matey and we may Finnish at a similar time
