Yup, loved my 2.5. It pulled like a train. Overheated in France when the rad blocked up with butterflies and moths, there was swarms of them that summer. Cracked four heads and picked up on one cylinder but it still got us home.I was towing the twin axle tin tent loaded with the personal contents of a house we had just sold in Spain.:)
 
This thread has turned into a discussion into which engine is best etc :)

All I want to know is without welding, what direct bolt in engine choices do I have if the chassis was originally a 3.9 V8.

I decided to calls Dunsfold and they confirmed that was mentioned earlier, different mounts welded to the chassis for each engine.

So my answer is drop another V8 in.
