After been eaten up on another thread let’s see how this one goes. I’ve got a 94 300tdi 90 and the tub has been off to do some work but now I can’t seem to get my lights to work properly. They come on but once I try to close the back door the start to flash. I’ve connected all coloured wires to same coloured wires but I’m still getting the flashing effect. Any pictures of the wiring loom on the drivers side would be appreciated. Thanks for the help

In my copy of RAVE, there doesn't seem to be any wiring diagrams for the Defender but this may be of some use

The wires that are in the ducting that goes from the door to the tub can chafe over time giving the symptoms you have,it happened on mine.

As Tottot said. Also check for lose or badly corroded earths.
