Just joined as have purchased a Freelander TD4 sport 2006. Been enjoying it for a while. Had 4 new tyres put on this week as read that this was required or expensive probs with diff and a brake line replaced as rusted. Garage informed me that other three now need replacing and due to amount of rust which needs all cleaning off will waxoyl the underside for £800-£500 of this are for labour costs-said a full days work. Then needs doing each year. But read that it’s 3 years between recoats. Also need new disc and pad driver side but need the breather being a sport I have found out is pretty dear but there you are. Can anyone advise if need having this. Live near the coast. Many thanks.

For that money you could get an exchange LR in few years when the coast salt rots underneath. If you love her then fair enough, but they need to clean it all up thoroughly before slapping more on
