posted on another thread about eas but got 1 bolt rounded off and can't heat it any help with how to remove greatly appreciated halfway through job now stuck cheers

Brought a little disc cutting thing to go on my drill halfway through cutting it off now flat drill will persevere in the morning what a nightmare job to all them mechanics out there hats off to u I really don't know how u do it every day my swear box is full will need a new one for the morning the manifold bolts were a doddle compared to the down pipe 3

A dremnel with a carbide burr is always useful for things like this. It will go through even hardened steel like butter and you can just chew away at the offending fastner until it falls to pieces.
It's what I used to get my old height sensors off.

Yer was nightmare getting through it but it worked frank christ I can't c any cracks in the manifold but I'm not going through all that again so bite the bullet and buy a new manifold I fink

Is it the one on 1,3,5 &7 bank.. the one with least amount of room ?

the downpipe bolts I used a dremmel on to cut a wedge out of the nut then a cold chisel to open it up. Wen the manifolds came off it took heat and big stilsons to get the double ended bolt out. Of course if you take the manifolds off you've got the joy of the heat Shields and lower exhaust manifold bolt on number 7 to contend with.

Tip: get a bigger swear jar!

Don't worry. Probably plain sailing once all that is off. Might be good to use a breaker bar to undo the head bolts so you can ease them off in a controlled manner. They can be a bit tight. FFS remember lefty loosey or you'll really be in it!
