Has anyone/group done Morocco in the last twelve months?

I'm seriously thinking of putting feelers out to do a trip to Morocco for april next year. I want to do the Atlantic coast from Tantan down along the plage Blanche
Got back from our second trip in April '16:https://onetentotantan.blogspot.com
We intend to do another next year but might have a go at the Intercontinental Rally as we've done a good bit of the route already and would like to get to Dakar, if only for the sticker!

InterCONtinental Rally is 22 Jan - 4 Feb 18.....http://www.intercontinentalrally.com.
There's an "Adventure" class which possibly doesn't require the need for a support crew, monster suspension mods and 4-point harnesses. We'll do that one and come home in as many pieces as we left - I hope.:)
Are you thinking of doing the six day one to Dakar or going all the way to Senegal?

I'm looking to do something where the beers in the back of the Defender don't get broken.
We buy beer in cans to avoid disappointing incidents...but even some of these failed on one trip. Hamada+beercan= metal fatigue=no beer.o_O I would hope the Adventure class in the rally would allow for progress at a speed that's refreshment-friendly.

Did you do the rally this year ogb?

Unfortunately not - work got in the way of the critical dates. We're going to do another off-road odyssey to Mauritania in April and have another try at the rally next year.

Hi, I am in and out of Morocco all the time.
Been traveling overland there for around 25years.. solo, with groups and work..
I’d be more than happy to help with anything you want to know..
