What did you do with your Range Rover today

Today dear landyzone rs I'd like to say I've replaced the middle exhaust box and the gearbox oil cooler pipes. Thank God for copper grease had to replace oil cooler rad a couple of years ago and it was a pig to get the pipes separated, so when I put it back together I liberally coated both connections with copper grease and it worked a treat. Union's undid a piece of pi$$ :D:D:D:D

Sprayed the back of the alloys satin black. The indentation on the front were sprayed gloss black and the rest was sprayed ford polaris grey and several coats of top coat. The centre caps were bought from fleebay
It looks good, not sure how well I could steal the idea for my own bus as I seem to have the worst wheels. I've seen a few people use body colour highlights which really looks good. Unless your Rangie is babyvomit yellow, then maybe not so much. The Polaris grey is the way forwards though. Consider that stolen.

New toy!!

Classic 2.4 VM with Lt 77 Gbox, not long after I bought it I changed the Gbox fluid as part of a catch-up service.
I put in MTF94 as recommended by a LR indy and was pleased that the box was quieter on the road, the old fluid was clean and free of filings etc. However I did notice a reluctance to change into 2nd gear when the box was cold.
After about 1500 Km I have changed to Mobil ATF 220 and so far am pleased with results, box is still quiet but even from stone cold 2nd gear slips in like a dream. So far happy bunny.

Thanks for that James, I presume then that a 1988 is a later box? glad I changed it out before I did too many Km's.
