New member needs help !!!

Hi guys hello from sunny Abingdon Oxfordshire (well it is today) I am in the process of fitting a series 2a / 3 petrol engine into a 1930s British military lorry & I need help locating a replacement 2.2 or 2.5 petrol engine ASAP ready for the show season

Try Landrover workshop in Farringdon. They may know someone.
Or if real desperate ask at Challow scrap yard. They would take the engine out. You could check if it's working first.

Do you have the number for LandRover workshop ? I have been checking out ebay & other places for a working engine that I can see running 1st but no joy so far

Nice truck but will a series 2.25 engine be powerful enough to shift it, they struggle enough in landrovers.

Hi yes it will, this is the 4th one to be converted. There are some guys in Somerset who pull a limber & 25 pounder gun behind theirs & another guy in Devon who tows a 14' caravan. Cruising speed is 45mph due to the low gearing.
