Hi all,
removed the instrument cluster today as there was something rattling inside. To my horror, cluster mounts are broken & triangular steel supports on both sides have separated completely from the plastic inner mounts. The cluster is just lying there .:eek::eek:
Now what are my options? I can't go for a new dash top.

Araldite,

Any other brand rapid set epoxy resin to bond the supports back in ...

Some epoxy compound, not glue but a putty that is thick like chewing gum ... available at other outlets .... :)

Thanx. Also, will 3M double tape help?
Can I see a picture , how to set the steel mounting brackets. I'm confused how to align those.

yeah, mixture of epoxy glue, ive used those plastic plant labels as reinforcing strips before, cut down to fit, sticky tape or clothes pegs to hold things in place while glue dries...there's a bit of trial and error to start with to get things in their correct positions

Finally, drilled few holes in mounting points and used plastic wire clips to hold the cluster. Also, placed some foam material between the cluster and top part of the dash.
Hopefully, it will solve the problem for good.
