Hi Col I WISH it were like this when I Stripped it ! LOL Hour's who's counting ?:rolleyes: , The best part of the paint was the tank ! mud gaurds & side panels were a different colour ! frame rusty in places ! & the swing arm was a mix of silver & rust ! & the wheel rims were rusty ! fork legs pitted ! All there but scruffy !
 
The only problem with restoring a bike to better than new condition is that you won't want to ride it for fear of getting it dirty.

ye I know wot your sayin Col :) Hopefully it's a wash & go & a polish with pledge ! LOL Not much chrome left on it :D & wot bit is is eather getting coated next year or is plasic !

Don't get me wrongthe Bike aint going to look like it just came out the show room ! But I think it will look a LOT better than it did ! Not sure about the indicators yet :rolleyes::rolleyes:
 
That is looking really nice :) Silencers almost look nickel plated, rather than chrome, but look really nice for it...

We like them, for some reason :confused: but we're not sure about the handle bars - might just because they are "naked" :D - they need some gubbins on to make em look "right", as it were o_O.... maybe :)
 
:mad::mad::mad: SHUSH Ange agrees about the bars ! Just been in the garage with Ange & she said that she wern't sure about the indicators So we powered them up ! VERY surprised on how much they light up :):) SO they are staying on ! (for now) The seats are only stuck on ! got back rest to put on yet ! Then start puttin stuff on the bars & sorting the wireing out ! I F/IN hate wireing !

Could have brought on a pants accident looking at those pics, mate. :oops: Looks gorgeous in the photos. looks VERY close to as new. :)
 
Thanks @Al203 ! It's never going to be 100% because of it's age ! ye & some of the photos don't do it justis yu can see the dust on it :oops::oops:
