Hi
Can anyone tell me what connections I should apply power to to test the rear wiper motor? I have the motor out, it seems that there is power to the wiring block at the motor but no go with the wiper itself. I am assuming that it is affecting the operation of the rear window as the wiper is an inch on the glass. The window will only move either up or down by about an inch before the beep from the ccu. It will go down by an inch each time I open the rear door but does not go back up when I close the door.

Thanks, checked it out and its working, must be something else stopping the wiper and washer working and stopping the rear window moving more than an inch up or down with each press of the console button. Could it be the rear wiper relay stopping the ccu registering the wiper as parked?

Hi all, any advice on what to check on my rear wash wipe ?
It's always worked but now can't seem to shut it off, every time I activate front screen in any mode it wipes, never used to do this.
It still works fine from the switch but even if I push the stalk down for single wipe it comes on.
Many thanks.

Thanks for that, I haven't been to a rave for years lol.
On a more serious note, haven't a clue what that is but will look it up.
Thanks again.

The CCU thinks the car is in reverse. So make sure the reverse lights aren't on. If they are, you'll need to replace the reverse light switch.

Was fine today, noticed the boot full of water, ( yes it rained for once ) so hope it's a one off ?
British wiring and rain don't mix !

It's not the rain in the rear door. The wiper is powered by the CCU which is behind the fuse box above the drivers legs. The most likely problem is the reverse light switch.

Thanks Nodge but I parked facing down hill and loads of water in the back.
Dry now and it's cured its self ?
Rear window sometimes lowers when no-one about !

You can accidently lower your back wind by your key fob. Sure the buttons aren't getting pressed whilst in your pocket.
I tend to agree with Nodge68 on your wipers, if it happens again check your reversing lights and switch.

Great I think it's just the usual lack of rain here so never experienced it in nearly a year.
Maybe had a minor temporary short as was going forward when I couldn't turn it off ?
Thank you.
