I'm new to Land Rovers.
I have a question about the heater. It usually takes a while before the heater blows warm air when I first start it. After it runs down the street the heater works great.

I checked the heater hoses and found the right hose gets hot quickly, but the left hose stays cold after starting and idling for several minutes.
Does that mean the heater element is bad?

Id have though if the heater works after the engine has warmed up there isnt a problem, the thermostat has to open which takes time

There is a sensor on the heater matrix and until that sees good heat it won't blow much hot air.
It's a big lump of metal to get hot.
