Stolen Bonnet Kidderminster

Hi, some scumbags try to steal my 110 puma last night in but thank god the battery was dead. The damaged the door and stole my bonnet???? But what I need help on is why did they pop off my indicator and cross the wires? Can anyone cast light on what this does?

Set up an alert on eBay for a puma bonnet.

Glad they didn't get it mate.

Now get some proper security on it and some of the aftermarket hinges that don't unbolt.

Crossing the wires will blow the old style alarms such as sparkrite ect

They often nick the bonnet and doors for their own vehicle or to sell. Mark what yer have left. Be careful yer doors dun't go missing anorl. Lot of rain and wind recently.

Thanks for the feed back! I was contemplating waiting with a couple of boys to rid the world of the low life..! But decided to lock it up in a secure unit until i secure the arse off it!!! Anyone got good advice on trackers!????

Look round it for screws like thems holding in the headlights and change them for the security type. It's well known to remove the headlight and disconnect the horn in case it's alarmed.

take the engine out and take the wheels off each evening. I find this stops the scumbags driving the vehicle away

Shorting out the indicator lamp will blow the fuse on the factory fit alarm, which will silence it.
It’s possible to improve the standard alarm to a point, by relocating the siren and fitting fuses to the indicator feeds.
But don’t rely on it. Fit something like a Disc Lock and/or pedal lock.
Fit a security door hinge kit and security bonnet hinges.

Better still, like I did... remove the headlamp screws and the plastic inserts and replace with stainless steel nylock nuts and bolts with the nuts at the back of the headlamp bowl inside the wing. Yes.... I know it's a ball ache when you next need to change a bulb but at least you will probably still have your Landy if this is one of your anti theft tricks.

Oh... yes, you're quite right. Just shows how long it's been since I took a headlamp apart. LOL
