POLICE CADET 2018 RECRUITMENT IS OPEN
We are pleased to announce that following a successful pilot this year we are now opening recruitment for our 2018 intake of Volunteer Police Cadets starting in October. We received a total of 70 applications last year and we are keen to build on that number this time around.

We are looking for young people aged 13-16 years old who care about their local community and also have an interest in the Police or other areas of criminal justice as a potential career.

The VPC is an opportunity to…

BBC Design Assistant (Junior Make Up Assistant) - Casualty

Working to Series Makeup Designer, the successful candidate will have a formal media make-up qualification, an understanding of the principles, practices and roles for make-up in television and film production.

Joining the Casualty Make-up team we will provide training in all aspects of this creative department.

Your duties will include:-
  • Interpret Make-Up Supervisor’s instructions and carry out basic make-up and hair work for the Artists.
  • To follow correct procedures for all hair & make-up continuity.
  • Apply a high level of practical make-up and hair skills
  • Carry out on-set standby make-up & changes for all artists
  • To liaise with all make-up and production staff to ensure that all deadlines are met
  • Follow safe working practices that comply with the Health and Safety guidelines/legislation
  • To ensure that BBC output reflects the diverse nature of our audiences.
