its likely but not givenDoes anyone know is it a given that I will have bent valves / push rod damage due to timing belt breaking during driving or will I get away with just replacing the belt etc and setting up the timing again. Engine is a 1996 2.5na.
you dont have to take head off to remove push rods,slacken tappet adjuster right off and turn engine over till each rod in turn is at its lowestOK thanks probably best take the head off and check / recon then - just realised I put 1996 when its an 1986.
why would you take head off unless you can see theres an issue like bent valve stem but that can be seen by turning engine over before pulling the rods outNice one thanks will check that also before taking head off.
